Actor James Gandolfini, who is Italian-American, and a New Jersey native suddenly passed away of an apparent heart attack while vacationing in Italy with his son, Wednesday. Gandolfini was also in Italy on business to attend the 59th annual Taormina Film Festival in Sicily. The three-time Emmy award-winning actor, who was born in New Jersey, also attended Rutgers University in Jersey, eventually ended up playing his most-famous role ever as a troubled head mobster in “The Sopranos,” which in reality filmed in New York City, but fictitiously took place in New Jersey.
